Kool-Aid Bush, Scurfy Pea Shrub:- Fast growing erect evergreen shrub 8-10' tall and wide that with age can become bare at the base, making it look more like a small tree. Dark green compound leaves densely cover the stems with needle shaped leaflets that are soft to the touch. A profusion of 1/2" wide lavender-blue and white pea flowers in spring-summer are very fragrant and smell like grape soda. Attracts hummingbirds and pollinators. Great for cut flowers. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Seacoast, wind, sand, clay and drought tolerant once established. Deer, rabbit and gopher resistant.
