Bodega Staphyle

Bodegas Staphyle was founded by Federico Porretta, a third-generation member of the Porretta family, as a tribute to the land of Mendoza that shaped their history. Built on a legacy of dedication and entrepreneurial spirit brought from Italy by their grandparents, the family has played a key role in the development of the region across multiple industries. With the vision of sharing the essence of Mendoza with the world, the winery is guided by its philosophy: “The best of our land, in every bottle,” expressing authenticity, heritage, and a deep connection to its origins. The estate expanded in 2018 with the acquisition of vineyards in Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, featuring 60 hectares of mature vines, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. This estate supplies the majority of the winery’s production, ensuring consistent quality. Staphyle has also pioneered high-altitude viticulture, cultivating vineyards between 1,435 and 2,000 meters above sea level, where unique climatic conditions, diverse slopes, and alluvial soils contribute to complex, balanced wines. Supported by pure irrigation sources from the Mendoza and Blanco Rivers, and complemented by a refined hospitality experience at Gran Hotel Potrerillos, the winery offers wines that truly reflect the richness and diversity of their terroir.
