Burundi: Busambo is a wildly vibrant natural process coffee bursting with juicy fruit, candy-like sweetness, and a sparkling complexity that keeps revealing new layers as it cools. Like our other Burundi offerings, this coffee comes through one of our longest-running partnerships. We sourced Busambo with the help of Jake Smith, now working alongside Joel Edwards at Red Fox Coffees, and through the remarkable producer network led by Picasso, Zeph, and Jeremiah of Burundi Seeds Specialty. Jake has been helping us source coffee since before Peregrine was Peregrine, and his regular visits to Burundi have helped foster relationships that span years, not harvests . Longtime customers may recognize coffees such as Picasso's Palate, Remera, Ruvumu, and Umuco, all of which came from this same circle of producers and partners. Busambo is naturally-processed, allowing the fruit character of Burundi's high-elevation Red Bourbon coffees to shine with exceptional intensity and sweetness.
