Batik | Kente in Lavender

Our batik prints are among the most intricate fabrics we produce at Tampoori. Each piece is stamped by hand with hot wax using carved wooden blocks or foam stamps, submerged in layered dye baths, then boiled to unveil the patterns the wax has protected. The result is graphic, deliberate, and impossible to replicate by machine. Every Tampoori batik carries the fingerprints of the artisans who stamped and dyed it. The slight variations in placement, the depth of colour, and the faint trace of wax you may still feel are not imperfections, but proof of how it was made. Fabric: 100% cotton | Width: 44 inches
