STAY & PLAY WITH (POLKA) The moment you place it on the washstand, the room changes subtly. This is a free-blown glass from POLKA, a handmade glass studio in Agatsuma-gun, Gunma Prefecture. It's a vessel for rinsing, sitting quietly on the washstand. But you can pour anything into it. The glass, formed by blowing air without a mold, changes its expression each time it catches the light. It's transparent, yet somehow appears soft. That's the unique atmosphere of POLKA's glass. It's just the right size to fit in one hand. It sparkles in the morning light. What was meant for rinsing has, before you know it, become a favorite. No two are exactly alike. Its swell is proof of its breath.
