"Impressively complex and engaging, the wine shows grapefruit, Gala apple, lime peel, and oatmeal aromas on the nose. The concentrated palate displays saline texture and racy acidity, making it mouth-watering and lingering. Wonderfully composed and styled with vibrancy as well as richness. At its best: now to 2032" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit "Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is packed with aromas of passionfruit, guava, mango, fresh herbs and subtle spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of passionfruit, guava and mango are mouth-filling, adorned by basil, oregano, citrus zest and white pepper. The fruit exhibits concentration, good weight, palate, and ripeness. Layering spices and fresh herbs add interest. This Sauvignon Blanc is complex and generous, beautifully balanced with a sustained finish. Fruit from Dillon's Point, partially whole-bunch pressed and aged in a mix of seasoned French and American oak barriques" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Jun 2025 "Vibrant, bright, fruity and varietal with plenty of power and impact from the bouquet of citrus and tropical fruits, red apple and a fine lees mineral foundation. The palate reflects the bouquet with a backbone of acidity driving flavours of passionfruit and mango laced with citrus and cape gooseberry flavours. Well made, salivating and fresh with best drinking from day of purchase through 2029" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Mar 2025 This wine has Aromas of nashi pear seamlessly overlain with perfumed herbal notes of tomato leaf and subtle coffee bean. A creamy and textural Sauvignon Blanc with generous layers of ripe gooseberry and delicious blackcurrant with a hint of tropical honeydew melon and green mango. Sourced from select rows in the lower Wairau Valley in Marlborough. The 2021 season featured warm days and cool nights, creating ideal ripening conditions for our Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The fruit was left on the vine longer to promote greater flavour concentration. Crafted with minimal intervention, the grapes were partially whole bunch pressed and aged in a mix of seasoned French and American oak barriques. Some barrels fermented naturally, while others used a selected yeast strain, enhancing the wine's complexity. Aged on its lees for ten months with gentle stirring, this wine may have natural sediment, highlighting Chloe's commitment to a minimalist approach. Each drop reveals the meticulous care and attention to detail that define this handcrafted Sauvignon Blanc.
