Colourwork Design with Virginia Sattler-Reimer
Date: Sunday 12th July, 2026 Time: 2:30pm - 3:30pm BST (GMT+1) This event will be hosted on Zoom. You will be emailed a link 30 minutes before the start. We sit down with our designer pal Virginia Sattler-Reimer to learn how she creates so many divine colourwork patterns and just where her inspiration comes from! In this casual conversation Virginia will share her tips for training your eye to notice colour and colour combinations in new ways that inspire you. She will also give us a few tips on how to bring more colourwork to our knitting – can't wait to hear what she'll share! Lastly, we will look at Virginia’s design process and chat about favourite projects she has created with John Arbon Textiles yarns. And, of course, you'll get a chance to ask her anything you fancy too! This is one of many events being planned for our Virtual Mill Open Weekend celebrations. See everything we're planning for this year's Virtual MOW. Thanks for joining in with our annual bash! - The Mill Folk x Speaker Bio: Virginia had been a lover of natural fibers and textiles as long as she can remember, a collector of string, a color obsessed maker who enjoys modest outdoor adventures in all weathers. She has a degree in Art, is a maker, designer, and yogi who lives in MN with her favorite person. Ravelry: Virginia Sattler-Reimer | Instagram: @ginnisr | Website: scratchcraft.com
