Vintage Kwikway Electric Popcorn Popper with Butter-Kist Popcorn Box, 1930s-40s
Vintage Kwikway electric popcorn popper with original Butter-Kist popcorn box. This 1930’s – 1940’s electric popcorn maker features black painted metal construction with red wooden handles/legs and crank. The top handle turns to help keep kernels moving while popping and (hopefully) prevent burning. Marked on bottom: "Kwikway, St. Louis, U.S.A." and rated 115V, 450W. Recommended for display and decor purposes only. The popper shows signs of age and use including pitting to the metal lid, rust spotting, paint loss, scratches, and general wear as shown in the photos. The wooden legs remain sturdy and the crank turns freely. The Butter-Kist popcorn box appears to be unused old stock with light foxing and age-related discoloration to the paperboard.
