Lalu Chotu Bag

The Lalu Chotu Bag is made from reclaimed cotton canvas and lined with naturally dyed silk off-cuts, it has been embroidered with the flower motif you often see on trucks and tuk tuks all over India. We wanted to make the perfect bag, ready for a night out or every day use, it's versatile and big enough to fit all your treasures. The word “chotu” means small / little in Hindi. A common term used to describe cute small things in the village. The perfect description for our Lalu Chotu Bag. Designed to be easy to take with you anywhere. Featuring our marigold hand embroidered motif. This motif is seen all through India, especially on the Tuktuks and trucks on the highways which we frequent to get to the Saheli Women studios. The marigold symbolises the sun, creativity, purity and protection. What a beautiful emblem to carry around with you all day. Made from reclaimed dead-stock cotton canvas and lined with 100% natural dyed silk. Dry clean only.
