Antique Striped Silk Fabric Panel

Antique silk moire striped fabric panel in beautifully soft colours that work so well together. It is in good condition but has areas of damage and a few marks. The fabric measures 2.24m wide x 1.6m long (88 inches wide x 63 inches long) . Two widths have been sewn together to create this wide panel. It dates from the learly 1900's and is most likely French. It had previously been used as a wall covering as there are tack holes on one edge and some damage in places. However, there is plenty of fabric to use: make a blind, cushions or a stunning waistcoat or jacket. The colours of the stripes and the feel of the silk are truly exceptional.
