Wide Titanium Cuff

WHAT ANODIZING MEANS: The titanium is dipped into a liquid called an electrolyte (often just water mixed with a safe salt or mild acid) and an electric current is passed through the liquid. Oxygen in the water reacts with the titanium to build up a transparent oxide layer. The different voltages determine the color you get. The color is caused by light interference—the same effect you see on a soap bubble or an oil slick in a puddle. When light hits the titanium, some reflects off the top of the clear oxide layer, and some passes through to reflect off the metal underneath. Benefits & Fun Facts Permanent Color: Since the color is part of the metal itself, it won't chip, peel, or flake off like paint. The color MAY dull after a while due to being exposed to body chemistry and oils, perfumes, lotions but can be brought right back to the original color by gently washing it with warm water and a mild soap.
