Kurabi Moniri Tanabata Kazari | Washi Paper Wrapped | Wooden Hand Made
This is truly a beautiful pair of chopsticks. A collaboration between the Kurabi series of chopsticks from Kawai, and 'Haibara', a reknowned Japanese washi (Japanese paper) brand in Tokyo, it has been hand crafted using washi paper around its handles. In this design, the washi paper features a 'tanabata' theme. Tanabata is a festival in Japan, where one of the customs is to write wishes and poems on colourful strips of paper and hung as ornaments on branches of bamboo. It is said to symbolize resilience and convey the messages to the gods. If you are after an elegant and unique pair of chopsticks which combines Japanese craftsmanship with art, then this is the perfect pair.
