Creative Textile & Stitch Workshop at Eau Brink Studio Explore the creative possibilities of machine and hand stitch on Lutradur in this experimental textile workshop at Eau Brink Studio in West Norfolk. In this workshop you will discover how different weights of Lutradur respond to stitch while experimenting with texture, line and mark making using thread. Working with both hand and machine stitch, you will create a series of stitched samples exploring how thread can transform the surface of Lutradur. Using simple techniques and an experimental approach, you will explore texture, open areas, layered stitch and free flowing marks while building confidence working with this unusual material. This workshop is ideal for textile artists, embroiderers and mixed media creatives wanting to develop more expressive stitched surfaces. Previous experience with Lutradur can be helpful but is not essential. During the workshop you will: Explore hand and machine stitch on Lutradur Experiment with texture and stitched mark making Work with several weights of Lutradur Create a collection of stitched samples Develop ideas for future textile and mixed media projects Suitable for: Textile artists and embroiderers Mixed media artists Free motion stitch enthusiasts Anyone interested in experimental textiles and surface design Workshop Details Tutor: Anita Rayfield Venue: Eau Brink Studio, West Norfolk Duration: 3 hours Day Session: 10am–1pm Evening Session: 6pm–9pm All materials are included. Sewing machines are available to use at the studio, although learners are welcome to bring their own machine if preferred. Places are limited to allow plenty of individual support throughout the workshop.
