Troon 1997 Open

Troon 1997 Open is a dramatic landscape painted in gouache that captures the drama and atmosphere of the British Open Championship. Rays of sunlight burst through the clouds to provide a natural spotlight to the men putting out on the green which is centre stage. This is Ken Reed at his finest. All his years of attending British Opens, his knowledge of the game and his immense skill as an artist culminate in this wonderful piece of art deco art. Of course this is one of his conceptual paintings that was repainted as a larger, more finished poster which is also available, however all the elements have been painted in miniature including carefully handprinted lettering.
