Make Your Own Glass Ring
2 Fridays in a row| Intermediate Flameworking Series Ready to make jewelry with FIRE? π₯π In this two-part flameworking series, students will learn how to create their own wearable glass rings from start to finish using molten glass at the torch. Over the course of two Friday evening sessions, students will explore multiple techniques for shaping, sizing, and decorating borosilicate glass rings while building confidence behind the torch. Students will learn a variety of color application techniques including layering, wraps, surface decoration, and decorative accents. More advanced students may have the opportunity to experiment with twisty cane techniques depending on individual pace and skill level. This class focuses on both creativity and fit β students will learn how to properly size and shape a glass ring for comfortable wear. Ring sizers will be available during class for anyone unsure of their size. Perfect for adventurous beginners, returning flameworking students, and anyone who has ever looked at handmade glass jewelry and thought: ββ¦wait, you can DO that?!β Students Will Learn: Basic flameworking torch safety How to shape and size glass rings Multiple color application techniques Decorative shaping and finishing Introductory twisty cane techniques (time/skill permitting) Class Details: 2 Fridays in a row 2.5 hours each session Good for students with baseline experience Ages 16+ All materials included Because glass has a mind of its own (and honestly, so do we sometimes), every ring will come out beautifully unique. No two are ever exactly alike. Must have some outside experience or have taken at least one flameworking class here. All materials included. Ages 16+.
