The Georgian era trend of carving tiny, rich red Mediterranean coral beads into intricate shapes is one of my favorite little jewelry obsessions. To date, I have only had necklaces showcasing this style of bead (which we now call "rolling pin" beads), and I am absolutely ecstatic to have found this sensational six strand bracelet absolutely filled with them! Dating to the late Georgian era (c. 1820), it is an iconic and recognizable piece of Georgian era coral jewelry, with its dramatic combination of textures and colors. Alongside the profusion of carved coral beads is a beautiful, functional gilt silver clasp with a lovely, very detailed floral border and a center pattern of chevrons. Each coral strand measures 6", making for an astounding total of 42" of carved coral, and the bracelet measures 6.25" when clasped. It is in excellent condition, with minor wear to the inside of the tongue portion of the box clasp.
