77cm x 50cm unstretched canvas oil stick acrylic The name Nora was inspired by a friend who wears colourful scarves wrapped around her head. The naming of my paintings is a deeply intuitive process; each title emerges directly from the artwork itself. It's a reflection of what I feel and visualise as I create and observe the piece. For my portraits, in particular, a name often spontaneously comes to mind as the image takes form on the canvas.
