2024 Justice Vineyard Pinot noir

Our last pick of vintage in 2024, Justice joined the October portion of our harvest to complete our picking on October 3rd. The protected West side of the property has held for later picking each of the last three vintages, maintaining fruit integrity and acidity relatively deep in the season. The wines show off a structured blend of finesse and strength as a result. The fermentation here was fully de-stemmed and relatively rapid, but finishing sugars slowly off skin before barreling in early November. Aged without racking through the following December in a selection of four barrels, this from just two barrels—highlighting purity of site expression in the simplest and most delicious way. The wild and exotic nature of Justice is on full display, the concentrated drive of dark and red fruits against a broad range of savory and earth tones. More similar in frame to the ’22 edition, despite deeper and more beguiling fruit character, the medium weight and acid drive keep this wine quite fresh from its entry onward. The purity of focus and character shine with clean but firm edges guiding the well balanced and bristling core. 45 cases and 12 magnums produced 13.4% alcohol
