The new Nitro 2 Pro has a more connected feel to your feet through its dome deck, making it an instant response to rider input. Reduced swing weight through its shorter length and volume flow right below you means the Nitro 2 feels even lighter and more balanced during the most radical maneuvers. Faster, earlier planning with less drag due to the new rocker, sharper rails, and increased water flow keeps the board planning through lulls longer. Overall, a much tighter, lighter, more efficient board with a more responsive feel across all conditions. Construction. A holistically reimagined construction process, consisting of continuous layers of Biaxial, Uni-Directional, and Plain Weave into our proprietary Carbon Monocoque – connecting mast track and stance to rails and bottom, forming a cohesive whole without patches and fillers – as well as a full S-Glass hull enables us to now craft boards lighter and stronger, identical to our custom boards built on Maui. A tailored Hyper Skin sandwich layout creates the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. S-glass rail bands provide ideal torsional strength without adding weight or reducing flex where you want it. As soon as we finished the new Custom Quad and Custom Thruster development, we jumped directly into the Nitro’s, applying all the same geometry and rail fluid dynamics. Dozens of prototypes led to all-new shapes and a revolutionary compact design with World Cup-winning performance. With years of evolution, generation 2 of the Nitro Pro is our pinnacle All-Around, Fast, Compact Wave Board. Improved efficiency and volume distribution with reduced friction and increased water flow allowed us to shorten the new Nitro Pro without losing the previous generation’s speed. Through its improved geometry, placing the rider right on the tail allows it to fit into the tightest sections of the wave, right where we want to be, but with more speed and control under our feet.
