DRYFT no 1

DRYFT is an object that doesn’t strictly divide space, but gently organizes it. Instead of defining boundaries, it creates relationships. Present, yet unobtrusive, it introduces rhythm, filters views, and allows the interior to breathe. Developed in collaboration with Julia Luteracka, its form originates from the language of textile patterns, scaled up and translated into a spatial structure — what was once a surface becomes an object. DRYFT is calm and material-driven. Natural plywood, a rhythmic pattern of cutouts, and subtle brass connections create a warm, domestic, slightly nostalgic character. It also marks an expansion of BLUBA Studio into CNC technology, while remaining rooted in the idea of digital craft — where computational design meets physical matter. The screen can be freely repositioned, folded, and unfolded — adapting to the space and its user.
