This wine has rapidly become one of our favourite go tos. WHAT'S IT LIKE? NOSE - Melon and ripe pear lead softly, apple and florals filling in around the edges, a savoury undercurrent and lemon peel keeping everything grounded. Gentle and inviting. PALATE - The fruit opens quietly - honeydew, poached pear, citrus blossom - before the texture takes over. Silky and slightly oily, with a fine, racy acidity threading through to a finish that arrives with almond skin, white pepper, and considerably more presence than the opening suggested. Four months on lees will do that. Build something worth finding. NOTES - Night-harvested, stainless steel fermented, lees-stirred for four months with the kind of patience that tends to pay off. This is a McLaren Vale Pinot Gris that doesn't give everything away at once - taut and linear up front, creamy and complex for those who stay with it. You planned for this moment.
