With the aim of creating a piece that both the soloist and the band could really enjoy performing, I based the title on the French word “Fantaisie” and wove in the word “Fun”. Of course, that’ s just the official explanation; the true meaning is actually “Taishi, the Man of Fun.” This incredibly cheerful friend of mine possesses a wonderfully rich and multifaceted charm, and to let everyone experience as much of it as possible, I’ ve mixed together three main episodes—soulful, playful, and romantic—like toys spilling out of a toy box. I hope this piece will continue to bring joy and happiness to audiences everywhere, filling concert halls with smiles and excitement!
