Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding

HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding is designed for workplace teams, community members, emergency response teams, and individuals who want to learn how to recognize and control severe bleeding before professional responders arrive. This course uses a step-by-step procedure to help students assess scene safety, use appropriate PPE, identify life-threatening bleeding, activate EMS or an emergency action plan, and control bleeding using direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. It is an excellent supplemental course for First Aid, CPR AED, AVIRT, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness programs.
