Friends Event: Art After Hours - Tour and Tasting

6pm - 8pm | Thursday 9 July 2026 | $25pp | Age 18+ Celebrate the changing seasons with an evening of art and flavour at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery | Len Lye Centre. Enjoy a guided tour of Direct Body Empathy: Sound, Signal Feedback, with Senior Curator Len Lye and Contemporary Art, Anna Briers, offering exclusive insight into the exhibition’s second iteration and creative evolution. The evening concludes with a curated tasting from Juno Gin, showcasing their latest creations and discussing the influence of art on their practice. The selection will include their recent summer gin which pays tribute to the powerful movement and creative spirit found within the Gallery, as well as the award-winning Monica’s Gin celebrating the woman whose vision and influence shaped Ngāmotu cultural and artistic presence.
