Lady's Thimble Print
Tess Newall’s collection of botanical paintings reimagines antique botanical etchings. Referencing plants often found in her murals, nine plant studies have been painted using gouache and reproduced as fine art prints. The collection includes English wildflowers such as red campion, wood sorrel and forget-me-not. Lady’s Thimble ~ gently nodding bell-shaped flowers define the lady’s thimble, or harebell. Often called the ‘bluebell of Scotland’, lady’s thimble is steeped in Gaelic folklore, its delicate stems found growing in unexpectedly harsh landscapes - on moors, cliff edges and rough grassland. Fine art giclée prints on archival cotton rag paper, available in two sizes.
