How the Juraperle & Corosex Mix Works Corosex should not be used as a standalone media. When combined in an 80/20 mix with Juraperle, the two media balance each other to ensure safe, stable, and pleasant water: Corosex (Magnesium Oxide): Slowly dissolves to provide a rapid upward adjustment in pH levels. Juraperle (Calcium Carbonate): Provides a steady, controlled increase in pH to stabilize the fast-acting Corosex, preventing extreme alkaline spikes.
