Silver handmade hammered ring with green tourmaline
A hammered substantial stacking ring handmade from 2mm round sterling silver with a stunning 4mm green tourmaline set on top. Tourmaline has always been one of my favourite stones. I’ve collected quite a few over the years because no two ever seem quite the same. They come in an incredible range of colours, but this deep chrome green immediately stood out to me. The ring itself is simple — a heavy hammered silver band with the stone sitting cleanly on top — because I wanted the colour to do all the talking. Rich green, solid silver and a very timeless feel. Sometimes simplicity is the right choice. This ring is currently a size l but can be made to order in any size. This piece is part of my 52 Ring Project, a personal challenge inspired by rediscovering a long-forgotten collection of gemstones. After moving to Dorset, I unpacked two boxes of stones that had remained untouched for several years — some of which I have owned for over fifteen years. After carefully sorting and organising them by type, size and colour, I decided to bring them back into use by creating one ring each week over the course of a year. Each ring in the collection is made using a different gemstone, giving every piece its own character and story.
