Dusky Forest Wrist Warmers

There is something of the old wood in these... of bark and shadow, of that hour when the forest shifts from green to something darker; when the trees draw the night in like a long breath and the path disappears behind you. These wrist warmers are worked by hand in my own adaptation of the Mammen stitch, each loop pulled through the last the way one season pulls through another... slow, certain, meant to hold. The body moves through dusky plum and purple, the colour of dark heather after rain, of bruised sky before the storm comes fully in. It deepens at the edges, shadow folding into shadow. The cuffs are forest green: not the bright green of spring, but the green of fir and shadow, the green that stays when everything else has gone. Holes for thumbs, One of a kind.
