Temple Bells is a small collection of handmade gold temple bells. Each bell is unique: one with the ancient talisman of the astral Navratna, one with a mantra, and one featuring the red and pink twinkle of locally mined spinel. The bell is used in Myanmar at the temples and monasteries to call for prayer, it represents the Buddha’s clear teaching of the Dharma, but also to call the good spirits and drive away any malevolent spirits. Bells are also used by the nuns and monks on their daily walk for alms to bring people out to share their food. Drawing on ancient Burmese symbols, Buddhist iconography, and the natural world of this beautiful South East Asian country for inspiration, Pippa has been working with Turquoise Mountain Myanmar for years.
