Clank and djent are what this thing does best but the Blend control means it's not a one-trick pedal. Pull the dry signal back in and you get subtler shades of dirt without losing the bottom. The Mod knob is where it lives. Fully counterclockwise gives you the Alpha distortion: punchy, tight, made for rock and prog. The other end serves the Omega: spankier, gnarlier, built for soloing and modern metal. Most bassists park it somewhere in the middle and stay there. Set Drive and Level independently, blend against your dry tone to taste. Two switches finish the job. Growl is a shelving bass boost that thickens the low end. Bite is a 2.8 kHz high-mid boost that puts you back on top of the mix. Flip one, both, or neither. Handmade in Finland from the good parts, like everything Darkglass builds.
