Through the Window
Through the Window is a set about how old Indian architecture meets the first rain. A jharokha frames sky differently than a modern pane does, and saawan ki shaam belongs to that older frame more than any other. The mood is heritage-quiet, bilingual, slow, the way a haveli holds rain. The left panel holds a single jharokha with a brass lota at the sill and clouds beyond. The centre carries twin jali arches with naqqashi work, the same sky entering through cut stone. The right panel closes with a wooden window, a plant in pot, and a single oil lamp lit below.Best for studies with one tall lamp, reading corners under a high ceiling, or hallways where the air stays cool.
