Vitovska Skerk – 2023

Vitovska 2023 by Skerk is a mineral, textured and expressive skin-contact white wine from the Carso Triestino, in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Made from Vitovska, a native grape of the Karst area, it reflects the rocky limestone landscape, the red iron-rich soils, the Bora wind and the influence of the nearby Adriatic Sea. The wine combines citrus peel, wild flowers, aromatic herbs, stone fruit, almond and a deep savoury-mineral character, with texture from maceration and a long, saline finish.
