Numbered Limited Edition - Copper. Horween. Horsehide.

This is my first Numbered Limited Edition release in a LONG time, and it also happens to be the FIRST Horsehide belt that I have ever offered!! Crafted with Horween's finest natural horsehide and my coveted Japanese Copper Patented Double Prong Quick Release Buckle. This belt puts most other belts to shame. This horsehide is something else, it's NOT thick, it's actually one of the thinnest leathers I've ever used for a belt, it varies, but averages at around only 8oz. But don't let the thickness deter you, due to this leather coming from the butt end of the horse it's also one of the densest, most durable leathers I've ever had the (dis)pleasure of working with. Despite its thinness, this leather has the tendency to break the blades on my strap cutter- no joke!! A quality that was once exclusive to 15oz J&FJ Oak Bark. A note on sizing- these horsehide strips tend to run on the short side. Measurements above the 40-42" range may not be accommodated. This belt is amazing, and I offer that opinion with first-hand experience. I have been testing out this leather on a couple of different belts over the months and it's really something special; barely any stretch, and it's still squeaky and relatively stiff. It reminds me of one of those magic trick dog leashes where it looks like you're walking an invisible dog, when this leather is new it is that stiff. Check out those patina pics!! (Do not that the buckle has had more wear than the leather, I swapped it from another belt for the pics.) As previously mentioned, this LIMITED release is paired with my solid Japanese copper hardware, which is lost wax cast, a nearly time-lost (and expensive) casting method that only adds to the exclusivity and charm of this belt. Secured with my branded rivets and horse hide leather washers. The cherry on top is the matching buckle jacket, which can be removed or left off from your order if it's not your cup of tea, but I think it's a very nice touch. (please let me know if you'd prefer your belt without a jacket, there will be no price adjustment however.) Copper WILL be available as a hardware option on other belts later this year, PLEASE do not ask me if you can order it with a different leather at this time, you cannot reserve one ahead of time. This belt release is limited to just 20 numbered pieces. As with previous limited releases, this belt is likely to sell out quickly and it will never be offered again. This is a PRE-ORDER! The copper hardware from Japan is currently in production and expected between July and August- your belts will be made in the order they were received, no special requests for numbers.
