RELEASED EXCLUSIVELY TO WINE CLUB MEMBERS FIRST Fermented and gently aged on lees in large format old French oak barrels, this is a standout wine of both subtlety and intensity, really only possible to achieve in the coolest of wine regions. This is a limited-edition barrel release crafted to delight. Fragrant notes of spiced pear, honeysuckle and nectarine are overlaid with vanilla and subtle oak characters. Maturation in large format French oak has rounded out the palate and added some creamy textures without taking away from the freshness. This all leads into a bright, long and complex finish. Golden in the glass, the nose begins with wood smoke and quince pear, opening up into an exotic display of yellow rose, pot Pourri and Turkish delight. Gentle oak ageing has given the palate an almost unctuous, mouth-coating feel with just a hint of tannin to shape the finish.
