Freshwater™ Stain and Scale Defense can be used as a weekly maintenance treatment that helps prevent calcium scale buildup and metal staining in hot tubs. Its active polymers bind to minerals and dissolved metals like iron, copper, and manganese, keeping them suspended in the water so they can’t stick to spa surfaces or equipment. Well water typically contains calcium, iron, copper and manganese metals that can cause rust, green, brown, or black stains.
