The Art of Lutradur: Botanicals, Nature &; Organic Surfaces
Experimental Textile Workshop at Eau Brink Studio Explore the natural and organic side of Lutradur in this creative textile workshop at Eau Brink Studio in West Norfolk. Inspired by gardens, seed heads, leaves and natural textures, this workshop focuses on creating layered surfaces and experimental samples using botanical imagery, mark making, stitch and surface manipulation techniques. Working with several weights of Lutradur, you will experiment with shape, texture and natural forms while exploring how the material can be transformed into delicate organic surfaces for textile art and mixed media work. Through guided experimentation you will create a collection of botanical inspired samples and surfaces while developing ideas for future stitch and mixed media projects. This workshop is suitable for textile artists, embroiderers and mixed media creatives wanting to explore more nature inspired approaches to surface design and experimental textiles. Sewing machines are available to use at the studio, although learners are welcome to bring their own machine if preferred. Places are limited to allow plenty of individual support throughout the workshop.
