Cahors Malbec, Mission de Picpus, Chateau Saint-Didier-Parnac
Cahors Malbec AOC, Mission de Picpus, France About the Wine This expressive Cahors Malbec showcases the depth and character of the grape in its original French homeland. Rich and structured, it offers dark berry fruit, plum and subtle spice, supported by firm yet polished tannins and a long, satisfying finish. Powerful yet balanced, it captures both the intensity and freshness that make Cahors such a compelling expression of Malbec. A superb wine for mature cheeses, roast meats, and cassoulet. About the Producer Fabre Montmayou was founded by Hervé Joyaux Fabre and his childhood friend Pierre Noyer Montmayou after Hervé discovered the remarkable potential of Malbec in Argentina in the early 1990s. At a time when Malbec was rarely celebrated as a standalone variety, they became pioneers in producing premium Malbec wines for international markets. After great success in Argentina, Hervé and his wife Diane Joyaux returned to the historic birthplace of Malbec in Cahors, France. Captivated by the region’s terroirs, landscapes and winemaking traditions, they invested in several Cahors estates in 2017, helping to bring renewed attention to the elegance and ageing potential of this historic wine region.
