Description Naquasone is a camel racing veterinary medicine used for anti-inflammatory treatment in racing camels and performance horses. Naquasone® is a veterinary injectable corticosteroid formulated with dexamethasone acetate and trichlormethiazide. It is widely used in equine and camel medicine for the management of inflammatory conditions, allergic reactions and respiratory disorders. In racing horses and racing camels (سباق الهجن), corticosteroids such as dexamethasone are frequently used under veterinary supervision to control inflammation, reduce tissue swelling and improve recovery following intense physical effort. Dexamethasone acts as a potent anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory agent, helping to stabilize cellular membranes, reduce inflammatory mediators and support respiratory function in athletic animals. The combination with trichlormethiazide contributes to fluid balance and metabolic regulation, making Naquasone a useful veterinary option in conditions involving inflammation associated with edema. Naquasone is commonly used in performance animals including endurance horses (خيول السباق) and racing camels where rapid control of inflammation and respiratory stress is required. Administration and Dosage Administration must always be performed by a veterinarian. Typical veterinary dosage guidelines: Horses 5–10 mL by intramuscular or intravenous injection depending on the condition treated. Camels 5–10 mL injectable under veterinary supervision depending on body weight and clinical evaluation.
