Creative Composition and Picture Making
Tutor: Carl Randall | Wednesdays 6:30-9pm | 6 weeks In this broad and exciting course, you’ll explore various processes behind making compositions. Creating compositions and visualising images that are in your imagination is difficult to do – this course looks at a number of techniques artists use to bring an image into reality. Much of the course focuses on acquiring the skills and information necessary to construct imagined compositions, encouraging a variety of approaches, media and experimentation. An illustrated presentation is given at the start of each lesson, to explain and put in historical and theoretical context the ideas explored. Any level welcome. Suitable for anyone interested in how to create compositions for pictures – painters, illustrators, designers etc. Please note: the tutor has 12 projects to offer for this theme. Therefore, students will experience different projects, depending if joining in the first or second half of the term. All lessons relate to the course title and description. Please check the materials list below for any additional items you may need to bring. (#WD27)
