PeaceMAT XR adds mass and damping to thin vehicle panels, helping control the vibration and resonance responsible for unwanted road noise and rattles. The 3mm closed cell foam is then installed over the treated area, providing a second insulating layer to help reduce heat transfer, moisture and additional unwanted noise. Together, they provide a practical sound deadening + thermal insulation system without taking up excessive space. Ideal For Cars, vans, campervans, motorhomes, 4x4s and vehicle conversions. PeaceMAT XR is already recommended for these vehicle areas on your existing listings. Car Insulation UK How to Install Layer 1 – PeaceMAT XR: Clean and degrease the metal surface. Cut the PeaceMAT XR to fit, remove the backing and apply directly to the metal. Press firmly into position, preferably using an application roller. Layer 2 – 3mm Closed Cell Foam: Measure and cut the foam to the required shape. Remove the brown release paper and apply the black foam directly over the PeaceMAT XR, pressing firmly across the surface. No additional adhesive is required for either layer.
