11x14 Large 1920s Antique Coral Watermelon Persian Rug / 11' x 13'7 Persian Mahal Rug #4648

Talk about volume and serious pop, this girl truly has it ALL! She’s a generous 11'2 x 13'7 antique Persian Mahal, bringing grand presence, a wonderfully floppy handle, and soft wool that feels amazing underfoot. At over a century old, she carries light, scattered wear that only enhances her character, while her all-over curvilinear botanical artwork and decorative motifs make her effortlessly easy to style in any room. Perhaps the most thrilling part is her palette: the luscious juicy ground color accompanied with soft lavender, varied shades of blue, beige, and ivory, all set against its deep watermelon field rich. It has natural abrash, a charming color variation created when weavers introduced fresh batches of vegetable dyed wool. Framing the entire composition is a wide midnight blue border filled with florals in vases, giving off a distinct Art Nouveau vibe perfectly attuned to the era of her creation.
