Samarkand Suzani Armchair

A collector's chair, dressed in suzani. Blazing tangerine medallions with crimson hearts sit against an inky black ground, framed by ivory scrollwork in the Central Asian tradition. The embroidery wraps the back, the seat, the skirt and the outer faces of both arms, so the chair reads beautifully from every angle in the room. Beneath the pattern is a classic, compact frame: a tight upholstered back, softly rounded track arms and turned front legs in a deep walnut polish.
