Calculated to 374.8 psi (25.8 bar), and here is the calculation 3P Certz report ECR-250902-R0 runs this cap through ASME as a flat cap: material SA-240 304 stainless, maximum allowable stress 19.7 ksi, 0.437 inch thick, 5.78 inch major dimension, clamped attachment, joint efficiency 1.0. The result is -374.8 psi to 374.8 psi (-25.8 bar to 25.8 bar). Against a 250 psi (17.2 bar) system design pressure that is 124.8 psi (8.6 bar) of margin on pressure and 360.1 psi (24.8 bar) on vacuum. Penetrations cost you pressure, which is why the three builds are not interchangeable. ECR-250902-R0 works the same 5.78 in flat cap twice, once with four port nozzles and once with six, on two different vessels. Same thickness, same diameter, same material. That is the real reason to buy the configuration you need rather than the busiest one available. The cap carries no temperature rating of its own beyond the material, so your limits are the system's: an N.B. Oler vessel is designed to 200 F (93 C) and the system operates to 122 F (50 C). Certification, lead time and what is not included These caps are in 3P Certz report ECR-250902-R0, so a system built with them is certifiable. Tell us who your AHJ is and the quote names the documents you will be handing them. The bottom cap and the top cap are items 3 and 4 on Ontario CRN 0H24152.5, Technical Standards and Safety Authority, as part of our 6 in material column assembly, which matters if you are selling or installing north of the border.
