Zu Audio Union Supreme 6 Tower Speakers

Zu Audio builds speakers in Ogden, Utah, and has built a loyal following among listeners who want efficiency without the usual high-sensitivity tradeoffs. The Union Supreme 6 is a floorstanding loudspeaker built around Zu’s full-range driver approach — a single wide-band driver handles the vast majority of the frequency range, with a supertweeter blending in up top and no complex crossover network in between. The result is a speaker that stays tonally coherent and responds with immediate dynamics that multi-way speakers with heavy crossovers rarely achieve. Sensitivity puts these at 99 dB — they will come alive with a 3-watt SET amplifier and take everything a 100-watt solid state amp has to give without flinching. The Supreme designation brings upgraded internal components, refined cabinetry, and the kind of detail and low-level resolution that separates a well-executed full-range design from everything else at the price. The sound is direct, physical, and immediate. If you listen to music the way it was performed — with rhythm, weight, and presence — the Union Supreme 6 will get there.
