The Waverley Limited Edition

A rare trio, one Waverley nib from each of three distinct types in the archive. Macniven & Cameron didn't make their own Waverley pens at first. Joseph Gillott did, and the work later passed to Hinks, Wells & Co. Quite when each was produced isn't yet confirmed, but the physical differences are plain to see. The Birmingham nibs carry a noticeably finer, serif-lettered imprint. The Edinburgh nibs are marked differently again. Alongside them sits the Big Waverley, also Birmingham-made, a larger version of the same design. Note: the Big Waverley is larger than a standard nib and will not fit a standard pen holder. It does fit the Plastic Oblique Holder with Metal Flange (with or without its metal flange). This is a small set, limited by what the archive holds of each.
