Join us for a fun, hands-on crafting session where you'll transform a book cover or a bookmark into something uniquely yours using embellishments, gems, and creative details. Whether you're decorating a favorite book or creating something special to take home, this is the perfect workshop for book lovers who like a little extra. Join author Diana Shaibi for an inspiring and interactive writing workshop exploring the joy of storytelling and creative expression. Whether you already love writing or have always wanted to give it a try, this workshop is a chance to explore your ideas, find your voice, and discover the joy that comes from putting your own stories into words. Led by Author Diana Shaibi Reclaim Our Book Legacy & Publish 2:00–3:00 PM | FREE Have a story, idea, or piece of knowledge you've been wanting to turn into a book? Join author Makeda Yasenlil for a conversation and workshop centered around reclaiming our literary voices and learning more about the publishing journey. Explore what it means to see our stories, experiences, and knowledge represented in books — and learn practical steps for bringing your own work from an idea to publication. Led by Author Makeda Yasenlil Canvas Calligraphy Workshop — Individual 4:00–6:00 PM | $35 per person Create your own beautiful piece of Islamic calligraphy art! Join Mariam R. Azazi for a hands-on painting and calligraphy session where you'll create an 8" × 10" canvas to take home. No previous calligraphy or painting experience is required — you'll be guided through the process and provided with everything you need to create your piece. This special pair edition of Mariam R. Azazi's Islamic calligraphy workshop gives you the opportunity to create a meaningful piece of art together on a larger 9" × 12" canvas. You'll be guided through the painting and calligraphy process, with all materials provided. No previous experience is needed — just bring your favorite person and your creativity!
