HiVi D6.8B 6 Inch Woofer — With Installation Kit. The HiVi D6.8B is a premium woofer used in many high end speakers. The obvious standout feature is the massive 3-inch (76mm) voice coil structure that is normally found in much more expensive woofers. This oversized structure is powered by a thermally stabilized and neodymium magnet array for a highly symmetric driving force. The polypropylene composite cone is mineral filled to maximize rigidity while keeping moving mass stable, even when you're cranking out your favorite tracks under high power. As you would expect, this woofer has a die-cast aluminum frame with a magnetically shielded motor assembly. With a low 43 Hz resonant frequency (Fs) and a clean 5.3mm linear Xmax, the D6.8B is highly optimized for bass-reflex enclosures. It comfortably drops down to a deep F3 of 41 Hz in a compact 0.5 cubic foot (14-liter) vented cabinet, or 44hz in a 0.35 cubic foot (10-liter) vented cabinet providing audiophiles with authoritative, room-filling low-end performance without requiring a tower cabinet design.
