2025 Miken Freak Gold 1 Piece Slowpitch Softball Bat 12.5 Inch Maxload 240 NTS MSU5FRKG1L

2025 Miken Freak Gold 1 Piece Slowpitch Softball Bat 12.5 Inch Maxload 240 NTS MSU5FRKG1L: An In-Depth LookThe Miken Freak Gold places a 12.5-inch V2 FLEX composite barrel on a one-piece frame with a mid-flex handle and A1 knob. With a half-ounce Maxload, it is built around a concentrated hitting area and assertive barrel movement.A shorter Gold Series FreakA compact barrel can be satisfying for players who consistently strike the same area, but it is not automatically more forgiving. Compared with a 13-inch Freak, the Gold encourages a narrower contact focus and a more distinctive barrel-forward sensation. What Separates This ModelThe Gold designation is not the performance explanation; barrel architecture, frame stiffness and how the end load feels at your chosen weight are the useful questions.Player Fit and Weight SelectionThis is a candidate for a slowpitch hitter who already likes short loaded bats and wants immediate feedback through the handle. A player looking for maximum hitting-area length may prefer the standard Freak Maxload. The broader range of balanced and loaded slowpitch configurations is represented among our 240 NTS slowpitch selection. The one-piece composite build has a 12.5-inch length and ½-ounce maxload swing profile. Each size can feel different even within the same model. Select the variant that you can keep on plane and square up consistently; an option remaining visible does not always mean the size is available.Composite Break-In and Performance QuestionsRolling is a controlled approach to composite barrel break-in rather than internal material removal. Our explanation of what bat rolling means for a composite barrel provides context for deciding whether the process is suitable for a particular bat.The reason players consider the bat rolling for faster break-in is simple: a composite barrel can develop through use. Precision Max provides a controlled way to do that instead of relying solely on swings at practice; the degree of change varies with construction and prior condition.Customers considering more invasive internal barrel modification may review shaved 240 NTS bats alongside the internal barrel shaving service. This is different from rolling and warrants a separate decision about altered barrel condition and durability.Modification NoticeBat modification changes the original factory condition and may affect eligibility for organized play. Modified bats are not represented here as certified, approved or compliant for sanctioned competition.
