Need a part that can live outside? RepRap Official ASA is made for sun, rain and cold. It holds its colour and strength in sunlight much better than ABS, so your prints keep looking good season after season. This ASA is tuned to warp less and print flatter than standard ASA. It has a wide print window, strong layer bonds and a clean semi-matte finish. It is made in Canada and backed by RepRap Warehouse. What's Included One spool of RepRap Official ASA, 1.75 mm, 1 kg of filament It comes on a plastic spool that fits Bambu Lab printers and the AMS Print Settings Nozzle temperature: 245 to 260 °C Bed temperature: 90 to 105 °C Print speed: 40 mm/s or faster Cooling fan: 0 to 20% Enclosure: recommended for best results Drying: 70 to 80 °C for 4 to 6 hours if needed Start near the middle of the range and tune from there. Material ASA stands for acrylonitrile styrene acrylate. It is a cousin of ABS, made to stand up to UV light and weather. It is tough, handles heat well and has less smell than ABS while printing. Material ASA, low warp formula Diameter 1.75 mm Net weight 1 kg Spool Plastic spool, Bambu Lab compatible Tensile strength 42 to 46 MPa Impact strength 12 to 18 J/m Heat deflection temp (HDT) 110 °C Finish Semi-matte Colours Black, Grey, White, Red, Orange, Blue Compatible Printers Works with 1.75 mm FDM printers that reach 245 °C at the nozzle and 90 °C at the bed. It is AMS friendly. Enclosed printers give the best results, like the Bambu Lab P1S, P2S, X2D, H2S, H2D and H2C. Good To Know Print in a room with good air flow, or use a printer with a filter. For big flat parts, use an enclosure, a brim and a warm bed. Each spool is laser measured for diameter and sealed against moisture. Care and Storage Keep the spool sealed with desiccant when you are not printing. If prints pop, string or look rough, dry it at 70 to 80 °C for 4 to 6 hours. FAQ Is it good for outdoor use? Yes. It has great long term UV and weather resistance. Is it easier to print than normal ASA? Yes. It is more forgiving, prints flatter and bonds layers well. Do I need an enclosure?
