KMC lists the Ti-N Gold version at 223g per 110 links, compared with 236g per 110 links for the standard X12 WAXED Ti-N Gold. Benefits Lower weight: Hollow pins help reduce rotating drivetrain weight without changing the chain's 12-speed format. Cleaner drivetrain: The factory-applied KMC GO wax is designed to resist dirt and debris adhesion compared with conventional oil lubrication, helping reduce abrasive contamination and maintenance requirements. Smooth shifting: KMC's Double X-Bridge and precisely chamfered plates are designed to provide consistent shifting across the cassette. Premium finish: The Ti-N Gold coating gives the chain a distinctive gold appearance while providing a durable surface treatment. Compatibility The current X12L WAXED Ti-N Gold is optimised for 12-speed systems using the Shimano standard, including Shimano, Campagnolo and TRP-compatible drivetrains. KMC specifically excludes SRAM systems using Flattop chains.
